Album One

I don't know, Steam Powered Giraffe are so far out of my comfort zone when it comes to the kind of music I usually enjoy that it must say something about their quality. Whether its their aesthetic mixed with their music, or it could be the pure excellence of the singing from the Bennett twins, and if not that it might just be the variety of music styles in this album alone. And if not THAT, then the silly demenor of the characters and the funny bits might be what it is. Really, I'm not sure what makes me love this band so much. I've always enjoyed old-timey music and i've always liked the idea of retro-future steam-punk styles and I really feel like this band is just a perfect blend of those things. And that perfect blend is complimented by some very, very talented musicians and AMAZING singing. To me, this is one of the band's I looked at and at a glance I thought there'd be no way i'd like this band. I've not gotten into a new band like this for a long time. Honestly this band deserves far more recognition than they have. Only 150,000 subscribers on youtube is a travesty. I'm glad I learned about this band.

….and I’m really glad I did. (Okay it was more than a few cents. But so worth it.) Steam Powered Giraffe…. I just can’t even find the right words to say what this band means to me. They are catchy, clever, and funny. When I’m in a crummy mood, listening to them always brings a smile to my face. When I’m in a good mood, they take it through the roof. This is real music. It’s original. It’s like…. Oh I know! Most modern music is kinda like being stuck in a room with a million other people who all do the same things, act the same way, say the same things, and crowd around making a terrible amount of noise that makes you want to run away and cover your ears. Then, SPG comes along and gets you out of that room and outdoors, where you can enjoy the sunshine, the rain, and their beautiful music.

These songs are so fun to think of, it's how the band started and all!

Their music is so catchy and unique, I love it so much. So glad to have found it.

One of the only bands that are good today

A friend of mine introduced me to this group. I wasn't sure whether I'd like them or not. Suffice to say, I was hooked from the first note, It's a refreshing chnge from the majority of 'music' out there.

Absolutely in LOVE with SPG! I just got into them, but I'm already head over heels!
