Okay Album, but not as good as Jesus Christ Superstar
  • Abundantly average talent

    By no, not really.
In hindsight, this recording sounds more dated than it should. New cast is far superior in terms of talent.

I can't believe it. I never thought I'd see this on Itunes. All of a sudden the words to the songs came back to me. I remember when I was in a church folk group we did this play. I worked the spotlights. My parents had it on an 8 track cassette. Memories. Now if they just had "Tower of Babel".

I was only about 6 or 7 and it was mid 1970's- I do not remember if it was the broadway cast or another group but my mom took me to see the live musical at the college auditorium in our town and we were very close to the stage- I remember Day by Day and loving it then and am so glad to hear it again so many years later. It is just a joyful song!

Fun, joyous, and always a good singalong. Religious or not, this musical just makes you happy.

Only question is where's tower of babble? I hope to see it on a "broadway revival cast album". My school is considering this show for our spring musical, and I also was in this show last year. This is a great recording. And I'm really happy they decided to re release the album to include both the broadway and the film cast recordings. Highly recommended for directors and performers. Although for directors looking for tower of babble, the 2001 tour cast version of that song is my preference over just a piano the whole opening number. Enjoy :D

A great collection of the ultimate versions of one of the Original Rock Musicals. A must for any lover of musical theatre! P.S. Disk one is the Original Cast and disk two is is the Film Cast if you wanted to know.
