Needle and Thread (Acoustic) - Single

I guess most of the reviews here, judging from their general nastiness, were from reviewers who got this tune when it was made available for free last week, however I come to this as a fan of Matt ffor the last five years, Matt, aside from being one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet in life, has a voice and range that is simply impeccable, reviews that state he "can't cary a tune" or "isn't as good as Chris Carrabba" (who is one of the worst live singers I have ever seen in concert) are simply just teenage kids who want emo crap that major labels sell them. the studio version of this, from Matt's "One Day Die" album is fantastic as well and his voice is up there with the greats like Jackson Brown and James Taylor. he may not be a flavor of the month, but nothing truly great ever is, Matt will be making records when he's 60 with a loyal fanbase buying every note while other artists wither and fade back into day jobs. so do yourselves a favor, put down your Dashboard attitudes and go buy Matt's three albums, "Winter Child", "Kingdom Underground" and "One Day Die". if you have any taste at all you will not be diissapointed.

I agree that it isn't amazing but it isn't horrible. It sounds a lot like people who sing at the local college bars. It isn't super original. He sings about love and heartache...a common theme for years which is the most human aspect that we all relate to. It is a pretty cool song. All you haters out there will probably download this later on when its cleaned up& a nice little funky beat is added. It's free,dudes! Shut up!

The song is a bit boring. It's a little sweet, but I'm tired of hearing these broken heart songs over & over again.
