Something about this record grabs me where it counts. Dirty World has such an amazing funky bass line! Feeling For The Wall really captures that emotion perfectly. I see all these reviews taking about Plantation Lullabies or Peace Beyond Passion, and I love those records, but they're a little dated. This is a lot more timeless.

Want the old Me' buy the old album! This is a great album. As her life experiences move forward so does her music. Keep pushing Meshell. Love how she takes you to a new but familiar place. Listen to this album every day(several times a day) when it first came out and now at least once every two weeks!

I love her when she is downtempo and heartfelt. She is so good at heart wrenching emotion in her writing and tunes, you just have to embrace her at what she does and when she does it. So gorgeous.

This is folk music designed for those people who like to make a revolutionary statement. I wanted to hear the old style that made me a fan of her music. Guess I will have to listen to the stuff she made many years ago. I just don't like the new direction you can't dance to this...unless your high.
