  • Something For Everyone

It's not every day that a singer songwriter can go from the mellow chilled vibe to a near hard rocking set, but Granian has done it with this album. Each song is a mini-masterpiece that your ears will thank you for.

I’ve listen to quite a bit of music in my time and for the life of me I cannot figure out why this guy isn’t signed with some major label. This is one of those CD’s where you find a favorite song and then a week later a new find a new favorite. There are no “one-hit wonders” on this album and I have about 10 friends who could sing all of these songs word for word. It’s just that good. With some of the music they are putting out there these days it’s nice to see a REAL artist put out REAL music.

The other two reviews previous to this one were a bit extreme, but the truth is it is better than 3 stars. The album demonstrates that granian has so much great talent and shows that he will just continue to get better. He has great lyrical style with a nice edge to it. You have to get it just if for nothing else to explore the horizon, but really it is good work worth owning.
  • Unfortunate Turn of Events

Granian's first two albums were simply brilliant (Without Change and Hang Around). They decided to change their musical style with this album (and the previous live album), which abondons their excellent acoustic sound and adopts an alternative rock sound that should have gone out of style the same time as flanel shirts and dirt rock from Seattle. "Ain't that a shame," to quote one of their most unfortunate songs. The only bright side of this album (read "only half decent song") is Collide, which shines like a broken flashlight at midnight in the depths of a cave (read "which still isn't that good"). I was very dissappointed in the turn the band made in their style. I am a really big fan of their earlier albums and completely regret purchasing this album. As far as I see it, they owe me $9.90.
