I found her on Pandora and couldn't get her voice out of my head! I love her lyrics, piano, voice... especially her voice. I've listened to tons of music and can't compare it to anything. So, in the end, Vienna Teng is one-of-a-kind. Listen!!

Never have I heard anything that compares to this. Vienna Teng sets the standards for this genre of music. Her voice is so peaceful and flawless it's wonderous. Every song is beautufully put together and the piano compliments her voice amazingly. Not to mention, her lyrics are fantastically written. This girl is not just a musician...she is one of the few artists that exist in this musical world today. Just Beautiful! :-D

This is Teng's best album by far. Her lyrics are deeper and her melodies are more intense.

Vienna is an incredible artist. Strangely enough, my dad happened upon her cd by chance and gave it to me, I have been in love with her music ever since. She is an incredible artist- with an originality, outlook and talent that seems to be hard to find these days where studios alter the music so much it is hard to tell if the "artist" is really performing. But Vienna is a refreshing talent, and I hope to see more of her in the future.

I didn't think Teng could outdo herself after the spectacular 'Waking Hour'--after the level of quality in her previous songs, one could only wonder how she could continue writing with the same level of strength. And while this album cannot fairly be compared to 'Waking Hour', it is amazing in its own regard. Teng stretched herself further in this album by experimenting with more styles of songs (a good example being Hope on Fire) and incorporating more instruments (Such as in Shasta), but isn't afraid to stay true to her roots, bringing back songs reminiscent of 'Waking Hour' (Homecoming). The result is a wonderful gem that compliments 'Waking Hour' nicely and proves that Teng is someone to keep an eye on as she continues her musical career.

I have truelly enjoyed Vienna over the last couple of years. This compilation though remains one of my favorites. "Passage" is a song that will steal your breath and make you sit still in utter astonishment. Viennas' voice is haunting and magical in its intensity. Very highly recommended.
  • Her Best Album.

Excellent album though her voice could have used a little improvement. It was slightly harsh to the ear especially in "Passage" but the music and lyrics were excellent throughout the album (as always). I appreciated the hidden track "Green Island Serenade" (although a few Chinese pronunciations were slightly off) and loved "My Medea". This is, by far (in my opinion), her best album.

I accidentally stumbled across Dreaming Through The Noise, liked it, and decided to get Warm Strangers. And I am SO glad I did! It has more energy than Dreaming and has a few really gorgeous songs on it. Out of all of them I would have to recommend Harbor, My Medea, Shasta, and Feather Moon. Harbor's my absolute favorite, though. Everyone in the world should have that song. :D
