I absolutely love this album! The music is monstrous, creative, and very interesting! I only recently started listening to Leviathan and loved the Lurker of Chalice album, so I was excited to hear that Wrest had a new album out! Huge sound!

It's nice to see Wrest (Leviathan and Lurker of Chalice) return after the Chicago incident of earlier this year (2011). The continuing animus he feels regarding his ex is obvious (album and song titles) and palpable throughout the album. Musically, it sounds much better produced than earlier Leviathan stuff and and a little slower and atmospheric. Altogether, musically and vocally it reminds me of current Marduk (Rom 5:12, Wormwood) with some Lurker of Chalice elements thrown in. BTW: Lurker of Chalice is a masterpiece of an an ambient black metal album that has to be heard to be believed and in, my humble opinion, reveals Wrest to be a musical genius. It's too bad he uses that genius on this latest Leviathan album to excoriate his ex in a rather sordid and petty way.
