Red Medicine, for me, cemented Fugazi as Indie gods. There is so much going on with this album. Many songs flwo into the next. Your never let off the hook. Very challenfging and thoughful. It's a must for your Fugazi collection.

My favorite album by my favorite band - and Ian's bald head makes me happy.

From Red Medicine to End Hits to The Argument, these guys really do their best work. Bed for the Scraping sounds like an amazing homage to The Minutemen. Latest Disgrace is genius. Downed City is like 5 songs mashed together in glorious punk rock orchestration. Get this album now.

This is such a great album. Punk, humor, and dizzyness. "Bed For The Scraping" has the coolest guitar part ever. "Birthday Pony" is hilarious for no reason. "Combination Lock" reminds of music you'd hear during a montage in a funny cartoon. "Long Distance Runner" is a progressive angry take on war. The whole album is just cool so go ahead and get it. 5 stars.
  • This is a very good album.

This album is absolutely excellent until "Back to Base" and "Downed City" come up. Those two are old-style punk songs that don't fit the rest of the album and don't even come close to "Great Cop" from "In on the Kill Taker," never mind anything Minor Threat played. The good thing is that these two come at the end of the album and are immediately followed by "Long Distance Runner," which, like most of Fugazi's album closers, is a great song. Like I said, everything before the two punk songs is good. Fugazi rocks out, tries some new production tricks, and writes a few quiet songs, too. Joe Lally, the bassist, even takes a vocal on "By You" (though he is a bit hard to hear over the din). I recommend this album to anybody who likes noisy rock and roll. You won't be disappointed.
