Fugazi is what it it is. Compare it to something? You've already missed the point. Love it for what it is, this is undeniably music that is completely uncomprimised. Arpeggiator is my favorite, can't help it but I love it.
  • Best album of all time.

Or pretty damn close. I guess the White Album, by The Beatles, would have to come first. Seriously though, I've listened to this album thousands of times. It is still mind-blowing. The depth of experimentation on this album is astounding. It feels fresh and new, yet somehow retaining it's punk rock roots. Just give the first two songs a whirl. If you are intrigued, do yourself a favor and get the whole damn album. It's a masterpiece.

i have owned this album for a few years now and its one of my favorites you really can not go wrong with any fugazi album and although this one i feel is different from others its an amazing sonic experience
  • Classic late era fugazi.

Classic late era fugazi. And I would like to point out the irony of some douche posting a commercial for his band in the middle of a Fugazi review. Maybe you should go back and listen to all those Albums 1 more time buddy...you seem to be missing the point and everything fugazi stands for.

What do you expect? My suggestion would be to expect nothing or everything or something in between. That's sufficiently vague, I suppose. ...Maybe. :) Don't, however, expect "In On the Kill Taker" or "Repeater." That'd be silly. Don't listen to this with any preconceived notions. I listened to it for the first time as objectively as was possible for me. The result was that Recap Modotti became my favorite Fugazi song with Guilford Fall running a very close second. -- At least until The Argument came along with my new favorites... I'd list the other stand-outs, but you can see the track list. That sums them up pretty well. And I'm also not going to suggest that you purchase this directly from Dischord for $10.00 postage paid.

& keeps it real always (I assume Five Corporations refers to the five majors who monopolize this industry of music). The first track reminds me of Repeater, which I still think is their best album all around. Place Position is great. Overall a lot of great Fugazi music on here. Often imitates, never duplicated.
