Lay Down, Lay Low is another exceptional presentation by The Steel Wheels. The songwriting, vocal arrangements, and musicianship of this group are a joy to experience. Best of all, their live performances are the equal of the recorded versions. Catch them on tour if you can - I was able to attend the concert at the end of last summer's bike tour and it was a down-home, laid-back feast for the ears and salve for the soul.

One of my favorite bands has delivered again! Original, intelligent songwriting, superb musicianship, great mix of tunes, songs and another thumping a Capella piece to boot. This one is right up there with the Red Wing album.
After you listen to this, you'll want to rest the rest of their stuff as well. Go for it - worth every penny.

I got into steel wheels a year ago. They were playing in a local coffee shop/bar. I love what i heard then and I love what i hear now. Since I've started listening to them I've really gotten into americana/bluegrass music. Another great album! It's a must buy!

The Steel Wheels did it again, another awesome album. They hit this one out of the park with the haunting melodies and upbeat tunes. Every tune harkened to the mountains, our roots and a front porch pickin' session! P.S. they are incredible live too!
