The Used has been my favorite band since I was eleven and I can say this, I love every style they have ever tried out in each album and that's more then I can say for any other band out there! They are truly amazing in every pop, grunge, screamo, you name it way !! The Used, thank you for being the biggest part of my iTunes account! 11 years :)

So when this album first came out a little over a year ago now, I didn't listen to much of it and quickly dismissed it as total crap. Well, since then I've opened my mind to the new generation of sounds coming out like dubstep, and when I went back to listen to this album (blasting through some HQ headphones) again today, I realized it is SO AMAZING! They are honestly geniuses. This album is more creative and unique than The Mars Volta IMO. It combines the music of the 2000s, where the Used's roots are; post-hardcore, some pop-punk, combined with the electronic and dubstep sounds of the new generation. To me, this album is a masterpiece, and a transitional record into the next phase, during this new decade we are just getting into. Love this album so much.

Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the songs on this CD, and I'm not at all upset that they've changed their sound a little bit! But I gave it 4/5 overall because there are quite a few boring and repetative songs on this album (Together Burning Bright, Getting Over You...). My favorites are Shine and Machine, they're amazing songs and I highly recommend getting them. If all the songs on this album were like those two, then I would give it 5/5 stars. This is probably my second favorite album, my favorite being In Lies for the Liars. Definately buy the song Shine if you only want to get one song.
