This by far has become my favorite CD of David's. The best way I can describe David's music to others is that it is like a soft gentle blanket that wraps around your heart. Stars weaves the threads of that blanket even further into and around the heart. There is so much love and devotion in this beautifully mastered compilation of sacred sanskrit mantra delicately interwoven with beautiful prose. Pure love. I listned to Stars last night with a friend and I was surprisingly captivated. I've heard a lot of Kirtan music both live and recorded. David and Mira's Stars is a creative, unique, and beautiful expression of traditional chants. It has a sincere softness that flet folk, blues, and jazzy and it really worked to open my heart. I think you'll love this Album!

As soon as I bought it I put it in my car and have listened to it exclusively. Mira's voice is very ethereal, David's voice is very soulful, and the chants are sweet, uplifting and a perfect blend of English and Sanskrit. The Gayatri mantra gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. It is my new FA/vORITE cd.
