I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hurst in the Portland airport and absolutely fell in love with his music. This album, in particular, is an evocative offering, soulful and longing. Mr. Hurst not only present an exquisite tone from his cello, but his musicianship brings a deeply personal touch to his songs.
