I think i was maybe 13 when this album came out. At the time i was rather introverted when it came to music. My parents were very into that late 90s early 2000 wave of electronic world music. subsequently i thought that what was considered cool and hip. YA… i know! Anyways this was probably the first album that broke that mold. through this album I got into Trip-hop, then hip-hop, rock, jazz, the blues, electronica, yadda yadda.
but without this first album by Esthero I'd still be listing to some guy auto-tuning a rain stick for 5 minutes. not that that is wrong… or a lesser form of music, but you sure can't get "lucky" to it.

Esthero has been a permanent fixture in my wheelhouse since i was 13yrs old! I'm a near 30 yr old woman now and this album has soundtracked my life since than. I never run out of great things to say about this woman, she's simply an incredible writer, singer, personality, and straight up woman!! I've seen her live a couple times and somehow she sounds better than the record. She's gone thru so many ups/downs with labels and she is truly a GEM, she isn't coined "YOUR FAVORITE SINGERS, FAVORITE SINGER" for nothin'. The industry loves her they just don't know what to do with her. Why aren't you buying this album yet? Because once you start listening you will feel like you can't live without her, her voice is LOVE personified.

I have been waiting and hoping iTunes would add this one. I had the song from the go soundtrack and any other I could find from various artists albums. This is a must buy.
