I have not liked an entire album like I do this one for years. I do like Trance, notably ATB, Dash Berlin...and her music is melodic like good trance but her voice is completely mesmerizing and the music itself must have some pro producers behind it. You can never have too many versions of Beautiful Things. (that song might have been inspired by the failed Dollhouse series which I was watching when I first heard the song). I cannot wait until she puts out a new song.

I must say that some people may be giving Andain a hard time. However, I believe that this young girl has a powerful and gentle voice. Her music is very moving and I have absolutely no complaints about any song or version of a song that she has done. To be honest, I am very proud of her for releasing her first album. So all I have to left to say is: Keep going forward and pay no attention to negativity. Your loyal fans will keep following you no matter where you go with your music.

I've waited a long time for this album to launch. I'm not a trance fan, but I do like the dance remixes. Really cool electronic music and that haunting voice.
  • Love this album, despite a few misfires

This is a great album from one of my favorite artists. I waited a long time for it and, for the most part, it does not disappoint. It's true there are some recycled Andain songs here, but these are new versions and I find them as good, or better, than the originals (except for the overly long "Unplugged" mix of "Beautiful Things" -- why bother? Don't mess with a classic). The remixes are the weakest tracks on the album and I won't be listening to them again, with one notable exception: the Chill Remix of "Much Too Much" is significantly better than the original version. "Promises" and "Turn Up the Sound" are very good tracks, but the high points on the album, for me, are these four: "After," "Find Your Way," "Taken Away," and "What It's Like." Unfortunately, "What It's Like" is marred by Andain's decision to slow down Mavie's vocals repetitively at lower and lower octaves toward the end. It just sounds weird, not cool, and it makes a great song end badly. Overall, this a beautiful album with a few misfires and some unnecessary remixes. (Oh, the videos are nice too. Mavie's beautiful!)
  • Seriously?

I already reviewed the shorted of these two new albums, but to sum up my feelings again this is a huge disappointment. This album has even more songs that are being reused. Seriously, get it together BHR.
