Nice….Ms. Stone….quite nice….not sure what those who reviewed it low heard, but to each his/her own. I hear depth, growth, confidence, impeccable musicality, wonderful vocals, melodies and beats on this LP….and I must say it's refreshing. I admit when sampling an album each cut gets about 15 seconds before I make a conclusion which is not long….but Angie delivered on at least SIX of these tracks, so it's a GO n my book! What a lovely artist….she truly belongs where she is. Thanks "G"…we love ya!

In my opinion, this is one of Angie's best albums. The album differs a lil from previous albums in it's throwback sound in which Angie's conquers well. Angie knows soul music and does it well with every album. This is no exception! Rich girl is full of richness in every way. It's been long overdue for Angie to receive her due. I hope it won't be too much longer. This music should be winning Grammys! Thank you Angie for continuing to keep soul music alive!

I listened to the 30 second samples of her songs on iTunes and was unconvinced. However, being an Angie Stone fan and having all her albums (and not once having been disappointed) I decided to buy the album anyways. I was glad I did because 30 seconds is not enough time to give you a true feel for the music and meaning behind it. Artists like Angie Stone are not for everybody as I feel you have to have a much greater appreciation for the lyrics and the meaning behind them. The beats are important, but if you prefer more upbeat songs that you can dance to, this album is not for you! iTunes should really consider making the first 30 seconds of the songs the samples/snippets they play when previewing songs, as I've realized that the first 30 seconds of a song is what determines if its something you love or not!! I didn't think that was the case but realized it when I heard songs like "Proud of Me" and "Guilty", from the beginning only to realize that they are AMAZING SONGS. I had previously dismissed them after having listened to the samples on iTunes. Those two songs have been on REPEAT! All in All 5 out of 5 stars in my opinion.
