Damian McGinty - EP

When I became a fan of Celtic Thunder, I think Damian was my favorite singer (him and Keith). I think Damian makes an awesome solo singer! His voice is really amazing!

I agree with another person who wrote a comment. Too much background noise on new C.D. or was it a bad recording studio or a Voiceover. Please just sing with the clarity you always had with Celtic Thunder. Hope you continue your singing career and stay away from Glee. Too controversial.

I recently started to watch glee and then I saw Damian and I new I had seen him on the glee project before and I just absolutely adore your singing voice and you accent as well please put out another album!

I just wanted to say that this lad has a brilliant career ahead of him! He'll defiantly sell tons of albums and trust me, I'll be in line buying most of them! He is so talented and charming, it really touches my heart and a lot of others when he sings!! He's just full of star-quality! He is and always will be a very talented singer, no matter what anybody says! Much love! oxox :)

This album is fantastic from a lot of view points, but it's got a few flaws. Not all the songs are my kind of music, but I don't judge an album based on that fact. The two main deciding factors are the vocals on the songs, and the music. With this album, Damian proves without doubt that his vocal abilities are only getting better and better. His control and his power to sustain a note have grown tremendously. There are a few songs though, where he gets drowned out by the music. Run is a terrific song. I love it, and he sounds great on it. But there are times when the power and volume of the music overwhelms his voice. Not enough to make me hate the song, which I still give an A rating, but enough so that I noticed. Yellow is another good example. For me, the stand out song on the album is That's What Friends Are For. There has not been a modern standard version of this song done. Ever. I've gone through and listened to EVERY single version of the song from EVERY performer. As always, I love Dionne Warwick's, and Rod Stewart's, and there are a few other great renditions of it. But nothing that remotely feels modern. This song honors the tone and feel of the original song, but the vocals and musical arrangement bring it into our time. Damian blows this song out of the wonder with the best vocals he's ever given. He sings so strongly and with such control, that you cannot help but wonder why he doesn't sing like that all the time. Bottom line, this album is well worth the price for any fan of the genre, and of course for any Damian McGinty fan. No song on the album falls beyond an A-, or a 4 star rating. When I average them altogther, the final grade is a solid A, with four stars, VERY close to five stars. Give it a try, and I don't think you'll regret it. That's my $.02 folks! Thanks!

This EP is just amazing and seeing how much damian has grown since his CT days is sad but really...awesome. I love him and not just because he was on Glee. Supporting him since day one and I'll support him until the end. Love you, Damian. I'll always be a true fan. Love you Damo :)
