This album is special to me because I recently got saved. If you're in the same position as me, and love metal! definitely check it out.
  • One of the darkest Christian albums I'd heard...musically and emotionally!

Man... this album is proof that anyone, I mean ANYONE, can find Jesus. Throughout the whole album, Brian goes through all his own problems and then explains that Jesus can get you through it all. WARNING: This album is so dark that it was removed from Christian book stores (actually it was the music video for "Flush", but it is a dark song). If you don't like dark lyrics, head elsewhere (no pun intended). Also, look for Brian's band "Love and Death", one of my favorites!

The actual sound of the album is amazing and the message is great.. but the vocals lack. I keep expecting the artist to reach the main message and sound more passionate. It's like the songs just keep building but never reach the goal. Like they're missing something. Especially love the way "loyalty" sounds and it's got that interesting creepy baby noise in the beginning and keeps that tantalizing suspense beat but never goes in for the full scare.

I started out in the Christian metal scene in the early 80's with the likes of Tourniquet, Deliverance and Vengeance Rising etc and wandered far away from The LORD for 20 years deep into Hollywood and the music scene there but the God welcomed me me home with open arms even after two decades of partying, drugs, sex and outright rebellion and Brian's testimony was one of the key factors in breaking through my hardened heart and God graciously welcomed me home.

Brian Welch brings the power of his music, and his heart-wrenching-to-heart-warming story together to create an album truly worthy of a Christian metal-head's praise (mind you, not the same praise I give God, of course). Each track brings in a new part of his testimony, and shines a new light on the life of Brian "Head" Welch. The album itself serves as an add-on to Welch's book "Save Me From Myself". The book and album really do go hand-in-hand, and combine to create Welch's ultimate testimony. This album is a must-have for anyone wanting a story of hope in a world that's fallen, as well as anyone looking for the next, big addition to their heavy metal collection.

Heads story is awesome! I just finished his autobiography "Save Me from Myself". It's just so inspiring. I really like his new band Love and Death. Heads vocals just really bring you into it the intensifying mass organized mayhem. Really enjoyed both albums "Save Me from Myself"(Brian "Head" Welch) and "Between Here and Lost"(Love and Death)! Can't wait for new songs!

After seeing that Brian Welch had rejoined Korn i was a little confused. I set out to find the answer to his return. After some research I found that he had not renounced his Christian faith(SO HAPPY!) but that he had actually joined with the group I am Second. I went and looked him up on iTunes and found this album. It is SO amazing. It carries over alot of Korn's musical themes but is much cleaner. It still carries some dark themes but it shows how he has changed his life and his belief in Christ shines through. Even if you're not a Christian this album is still amazing and is exactly the kind of Metal I love.
  • This album is THE BEST I've ever heard!

Okay, it's incredibly hard for me to find metal bands that I can listen to ESPECIALLY if it's Christian. A lot of the christian bands just don't sound the way I like it. But this album is great, I mean the way he sings, the way it's played, everything is perfect and I love it. I am not kidding when I say it's great, it's everything I've been looking for and I have no idea why Brian hasn't made another album! He totally should keep making them, they've helped me so much! Also, just because he's christian doesn't mean that other people who aren't Christian can't listen to him, I have loads of friends who are atheist and love Brian!
