This album was groundbreaking it should be owned by any and all music enthusiasts. It's intelligent and very well produced. It gave a voice to the poor and down trodden and could make a comeback with the bad things happening in America a again

Growing up in the South Bronx I watched these guys in the early days of hip hop. GRANDMASTER FLASH, Mele mel up on Aurther Park. I seen live battles with DJ AJ in Mitchel center 1978. It was all about music! No one never knew it would become the world's mainstream of music. And it all started from guys like GrandMaster Flash, Luv Bug Starky , Riki Dee, DJ Theodore, Funky Four plus one more, Busy Bee, Kool Hurt, Dj Breakout, DJ Hollywood, Disco Fever, 371, T connection, 63 Park, St. Mary's Park, 18 Park, Yeah! That's what up!

Traditional hip hop with amazing and original lyrics. Congrats Grandmaster Flash and your Furious Five. You gave inspiration to another talented vocalist, Anthony Kiedis. If it wasn't for this band, the only music that would exist currently would be crappy wanna-be "rappers" that have their voice rearranged to make themselves sound decent. I wish music still made sense like the old days.

The track The Message is the quintessential, original, must-have classic rap song. This is what rap music should sound like and be about. It's a shame that folks like Ice-T & NWA had to give rap a bad name by creating gangsta rap. Congrats to Flash and co on their induction to the Hall Of Fame.
