I was excited to see that Hey Marseilles came out with a new album this year. In my experience, sophomore albums tend to make or break a band. Hey Marseilles did not disappoint. It is thematically different, but it maintains the same swelling, lyrical, chamber pop sound I love.

Heck yes. New favourite album. These guys put so much into their albums and the music is REAL! Also, "fartbeats" is right, not that it matters though ;)

Saw them in concert last night for their spring 2013 kickoff and bought both albums. Some of the best music I've heard in years. Touching, soothing, and revitalizing... Doesn't get much better the Hey Marseilles and I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more of their talent!

I have to say, I was hesitant about this album at first. But, now, I'm totally in love. I was actually able to meet the singer, Matt Bishop, at my school's career day a few weeks ago. He was really cool and funny. But anyways, this band is amazing and you really should check these guys out.

Hey Marseilles is my favorite band and has been for a long time, so I was a little worried that this album couldn't possibly live up to the beauty of their first. I was silly to doubt them, though! Beautiful instuments and lyrics combine to make this an absolutely perfect album. Bravo, Hey Marseilles!

I bought their song bright stars burning by accident and loved it! I heard the rest of their music and became even more of a fan. I didn't think they could get any better, but then I saw them live. They sound even better live than their recorded version and they put on quite a show! I highly recommend Hey Marseilles.

I can't even tell you how I happy I was when I found out that Hey Marseilles had a new album! I found out about them through a friend last summer and fell in love with their first album. So happy to hear some new stuff though
