Between the Glow and the Light

This is a GREAT band and a good cd. i reccomend JLC to anyone. look up magazine and vertigo, also by JLC.

I first got these six songs because it was less expensive than getting the whole Dim and Dark CD. The songs are nice, but don't feel like the Jump group I know. The lead singer's voice sounds different than usual, the melodies (except for By the Way They Dance) do not flow, and the songs seem slightly more simple. I just got Between the Dim and the Dark and am much happier with it. The songs are more complex and interesting, the vocals sound better, and the energy mixed with tenderness that I love so much is there. If you're a huge fan of the group, this CD is not a big waste of money, but if you're only going to get one, spend the extra few dollars and get the Dim and the Dark.

This album just didn't excite me at all. Darkest Love is a good track, but this version is not even the best version out there. Rains in Asia remix??? It was a mediocre song at best originally. By the Way They Dance and Where She Lies are good songs, but again I already had much better live versions by the time they finally decided to release them. The other songs just aren't that great. Do yourself a favor and skip this album and get either Magazine or Vertigo.

I absolutely love this song! Especially pay close attention to the second half of the song and the spoken lyrics in the background. "...but we hear the starfall that cannot be seen, we feel the stirrings of things in between, tell me dreams in the dark that you won't tell by day, and ways you've discovered to hold dawn at bay." Gorgeous song. Like so many other Jump songs. My favorite band...closely followed by the Beatles.

I love this album sooo much (as well as every other Jump album ever)! It has one of my top 5 favorite jump songs on it, which is "Darkest Love", but "Where She Lies" and "By the Way They Dance" are definitely some great great songs! I can only hope they keep up the good work even though things have "slowed down" for them right now! <333

This is one band that just keeps getting better and better. I tuned in sometime after Magazine was released and have been wowed with each new album. I highly recommend seeing this band live. My first time was in Milwaukee and then saw them in Chicago at Schuba's. Okay...I need to go listen to this EP.

I was so happy that itunes decided to carry this little addition to "Dim and Dark." I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a copy without seeing a show. "By The Way They Dance" is the only real essential on the album I think, but the rest is great, and works very well together with "D&D". Rains In Asia was best left un-remixed, but it was a great song, so you might as well play around with it. If you are a huge JLC fan like me, its absolutely worth shelling out a couple bucks for the bonus tracks.
