My brother went to a Hank Jr concert many years ago and left before it was over. He tried to explain to me why he didn't like it but I couldn't understand it (being a Hank Jr fan). After listening to this, I get it. While I am not a fan of Live concerts sounding exactly like the CD's, I would like them to at least rememble them. Lot's of the songs he seems to almost being mocking the songs (I am Hank Jr, I will sing (or speak) my songs anyway I want and you will like it). Well, as it turns out, I don't have to like it. There are some high points to this concert but overall I was left wanting. The highs are high but it just stands as a reminder to how low the lows are. It reminds me of the mp3 I have of him (severely) drunk) at a concert. It was interesting and funny for awhile but the novelty soon wore off. The novelty of this wore off also.
