French music has been heavily influenced by Algeria and Tunisia. If you know history, this is because those two countries had been colonized by France. Not only were they colonized by France but the french government actively encouraged ALGERIANS and TUNISIANS to migrate to France. Track 12 is French. The artist, Rachid Taha is French and happens to be of Algerian descent. So.... does that mean African influenced music is not french? Hell no. If those reviewers were correct then you can make the same argument that rap music is not American music because it is mainly sung by African Americans. Music is constantly evolving. The music is french and Rachid is very popular in France. Stop the ignorance.

this music is french, and french sounding. i found it extremely french, except for track 12, which was not french enough for my taste, or in my opinion, for this extremely funky-french album. if i lived in france, i would listen to this album a lot, because it's french and what-not. french fries are good too. french.

This is a great album because it has a new way of listening to french music. This has great music and a mixture of techno and some alternative soft music. I would recomend it to people who want to relax and listen to french music.
