I just have to say that i love byzantine chanting. Its great that it is only voices and no instruments. I personally prefer deeper voices with a heavier eson, but this is still really good.

I have to agree with another reviewer here that gave the CD one star in that the production is not overly professional, polished, or complex. However, if one is listening to a CD by the youth movement of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America, one should not expect to hear a professional group at work, nor highly complicated arrangements, nor slick production . . . one should expect to hear teenagers singing praises to Our Lord to best of their abilities. What the Teen SOYO does is admirable and the singing heard here is a pretty good representation of the type of singing that can be heard on any Sunday morning anywhere in the country at small to mid-size Orthodox Christian parishes. As such, it will find a welcome place in my collection of liturgical recordings.

It is very heartwarming to hear these kids singing God's praises. It is not overly polished or stylized, so if you're looking for perfection go elsewhere. The lyrics are very easily understood, unlike those of more "professional" cd's. My kids love hearing other kids sing rather than just us "boring" adults.
