In the film, the protagonist is a gorilla. In this work, Philip Glass is a musical beast! Track 5 is perhaps the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard. Those who believe Glass is washed up and simply recycles ideas from his incredible career need to clean out their ears. This work is atmospheric, mind-bending, powerful, and is truly Glass at his best- and I've been listening to Glass for around 30 years now.
