The Very Best Of

So I am a huge 80's music fan, but have to admit, I had multiple versions of "Talk Talk", "It's My Life", and "Life's What You Make It". I was driving home today and heard on Sirius 1stWave that Mark Hollis had passed away at 64. So I came home to check my collection of Talk Talk songs which I found sadly very small. I started to listen to this album and decided I needed to download the whole thing. Songs I had never heard before but I love the melodic sounds, the synth and the strong vocals of Hollis. Life is what you make it...this band added to my life in the 80's.

Just learned of the passing of Mark Hollis. Saddened by it, but lifted with the realization that he'll live on forever through music. Thank you for being part of the soundtrack to our lives.

Wow. Amazing songs. So beautifully crafted and emotive. Many years ago, I was also a huge fan of ‘that one song’.. “It’s My Life.” Don’t get me wrong. It’s an amazing song. But what about “Give It Up”, “Living in Another World”, “Life’s What You Make It”, “Such a Shame”, “Time It’s Time”.. and so many others. All A+! It saddens me how many people today have no idea who Talk Talk are anymore. They are an incredible band who put every ounce of their being into these songs. Please take a chance on this one and listen to all the other songs, they are all true gems! (And if you can find it, purchase the older Best Of “Natural History” as well as the Remixes of that Best of album (I think that one is called “Unnatural History.” Both incredible albums with awesome versions you won’t hear anywhere else.) A+ all the way! Talk Talk is an amazing band, still as every bit relevant today as they were to hardcore fans back in the retro days. This album is among my Top 20 favorite albums of all time. Grab it today! :D

It's my life- don't you forget! I remember seeing this video for the first time back in the '90's on Vh1's The Big '80's tv program! I was in my teens then and thought wow- this is the best music video I've EVER seen! ( : It was just realy neat/ interesting to me ( : It's probbly because I realy love and adore animals and feel that they are not treated the same way we are, even though we too are animals ) :
