Quite unlike the albums that followed it, This Was was Jethro Tull's blues album...and it is quite good. Song For Jeffrey was the first song I heard and I was glad to discover that Ian Anderson didn't sing that way on the rest of the album. My favorite songs would be My Sunday Feeling, Some Day The Sun Won't Shine For You and the Roland Kirk tune Serenade To A Cuckoo. I love the front cover, which has the band disguised as old men surrounded by a bunch of dogs. This Was is a very good album.
