First off, comparing this to GnR (an all time great band) would be selling this album short for just how good it really is. This cd is something different, something special. The guitar is on point, as you would expect from Slash. But Myles Kennedy really shines, especially on some songs in particular like "We Will Roam" & "No More Heroes". Myles and Slash just explore their chemistry even more after their two songs on Slash's self titled cd. As a true GnR fan ill admit, im definitely missing hearing Duff McKagan on bass but the songs have such substance that they dont even need him for them to be extraordinarily written. "Anastasia" and "Bad Rain" are some of my personal favorites because of the way Slash And Myles connect perfectly. "Carolina" is just a grooving track that makes you want to dance and break stuff. And its refreshing hearing Slash break out that distinct Voicebox he used for the Use Your Illusions cds and tours. This is an album that (in its entirety) must make Axl Rose cry inside. I cant wait to hear these guys continue to make music in the future.
