This album, along with “Mexican moon,” make the two finest albums by this completely underrated band. The remastered editionImproves upon the sound quality which was originally cold and brittle, due to the limitations of digital technology in 1990. The song writing is timeless, and there are elements of Pink Floyd, Heart,A little bit of country with the big hit, “Joey,” and even some heavy metal with songs like “The sky is a poisonous garden,” and “the beast.”This album is meant to be listen to and it’s entirety, as an eclectic journey.
  • One of my favorite bands from the 90’s

I saw them live many, many years ago when they toured for Mexican Moon. They play at a local metal club (smaller venue) and they were AMAZING! Jonette’s voice is so haunting. To this day I love their dark imagery and creative storytelling. ❤️

There are a few bands are truly underrated. Concrete Blonde may be the most underrated band of their era. No doubt in my mind that they would be huge today. You are missing out if you don’t turn up the volume and enjoy this masterpiece. Johnette is a goddess. Ask David Letterman. He was fully enthralled with Johnette. And had the band on his show several times. All of which were incredible performances. Enjoy this masterpiece.

I've been looking for this forever. My father had like half the album on our super old desktop in 99. Bloodletting has been in the back of my head all this time. I love it.

The music alone is fantastic! But when you add the intelligent lyrics you have one of my favorite albums of all time! Concrete Blonde has to be the most underrated band ever. Give it a try- you'll be glad you did:)
