Every world music collection should have the enchanting voice of a fadista such as Mariza. I first heard her music while eating dinner in an outside cafe in Toulouse. Every time I hear her voice, I am transported back to an evening under the stars with a glass of Bordeaux and romance in the air. (sigh) Yeah, Mariza does that to a person.

I saw her in Walt Disney Hall (Los Angeles) in October 2007..
My favorite songs are not form this album, but any album is absolutely stunning.
When I saw her at Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, she just captured the crowd. Everyone was paying attention and following her. Everyone was silent as she sang, and ecstatic when she finished.
She did an encore !!
Amazing album, and not expensive.

I went to her concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London last November (2006) and it was great! I still get goosebumps just remembering her powerful voice! She is a great performer and entertainer, very funny! It was worth every pound spent!

Mariza; is Fado to me she takes one to heights of musical rapture as no one else signing on this earth has been able to! I cannot wait to see her in New York again, however, I also hope to see her in concert in Portugal when I go over to visit! I cannot get enough of her because she sings with such passion.

I have nothing to do with Portugal or Fado, but the minute I heard one of her songs on the radio and bought her CD I can't stop listening to Mariza! Her voice is so amazing and you really feel the emotions...of course now I am beginning to understand and love fado!

This woman's voice gives me chills, and that's saying alot. I just saw her live at the Hollywood Bowl, and she sounds even more amazing live. You will be so happy you bought this album...her voice takes you to a place of beauty and emotion that I have never heard before. She is a true superstar - talented, graceful, humble and beautiful. In a world full of canned singers and pitch correction, Mariza is the real deal, singing from her heart and soul, and she doesn't need a computer to make her any more amazing than she already is. Fado fado!!!!

Mariza is a gifted fadista. Her voice captivates and her precense invites you to be part of her music, feelings. I saw her in Washington, DC in concert and she was amazing. She is very elegant and knows how to please the audience - she performed for two hours non-stop. I can't wait see her again and I am looking forward to more of her music.
