A true masterpiece start to finish, arugably the best album Genesis album ever recorded. Their only album to hit to #1 on the UK charts. Hackett, Banks, Rutherford and Collins together were truely some of the greatest artisits of progressive rock, master musicians. Prog rock at it's best with masterpieces such as Squonk, Entangled, Ripples and Los Endos. When are we going to see a remastered version of this phenominal work?

I heard this on midnight radio soon after my daughter was born in spring of ‘76, and it’s always had a special meaning for me. I hadn’t been too much into Genesis before hearing this album. I still have the vinyl, as well as a cd, plus it’s on my iPod. I’ve always been a sucker for anything with a melotron in it, and the keyboards on this album are spectacular! A definite must-have for any prog-rock fan, or even someone listening for some really well-performed, beautifully-written music.

This is clearly number 2 only to W&W. 1976 Genesis hit their peak. A great LP. One of all time.

Excellent album, my first while in HS, so I started out with Phil and had to get used to Peter. I am very partial to their more progressive material. This album is long before they lost me in any way.

Though, Peter Gabriel had departed from Genesis, this is by far one of their greatest albums, and a person favorite of mine. All songs are a must because if you misseven one, you miss the whole album. I highly recommend this album

Haven't played this in 25 years until today, with headphones. And All I can say is --- WOW---!!!!!!!!!!! Dance on a volcano is unbleavible, entangled beautiful and haunting.Robbery, Ripples and a ( Trick of the tail) are so well done on this. And of course Squonk, Mad Man Moon and Los Endos round out this Masterpiece!!!!! Thank you gentlemen for this wonderful collection of music!! The only thing, I could wish for, is more of this!

I understand that there will always be the Gabriel Genesis vs. Collins Genesis debate. In my opinion they're both worthy of praise and criticism. I prefer the Collins led version (up until the self titled Genesis album. Half is decent the other WAY too commercial). That doesn't mean I don't love Gabriel led, I do, but him leaving was the best thing for both sides. A Trick Of The Tail is one of the best recordings Genesis has ever made. Squonk is so powerful it raises the blood pressure. Entangled may be the best song on the whole album. I prefer my Genesis as a prog-pop band NOT a pop-prog band. (I.e. Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance) This album is definitely prog with a spicing of pop. Beautiful, powerful, definitive. A MUST HAVE!

I wish could listen to this song but it never loaded on my phone. However I was charge for it and I am unable to report this problem to iTunes as usual

Questionable album, since this was their first album after Peter Gabriel left. Turns out it is one of their best. FIVE STARS!!!
