- A mixed effort, but great musicians!

As an album I consider this a mixed success at best. A somewhat pretentious experiment that never really gels as a unified album.
However, it has some GREAT playing by some of the best 60s session musicians! People like bassist Carol Kaye. Look up "David Axelrod" on Wikipedia for more info on the guy who put this together.

It is a perfect time to listen to this album again. One can wait another week or two, but this is an album that I have been listening to for the past couple years for the High Holidays. This goes right up there with the Gershon Kingsley Passover records as amazing weird Jewish religious records of the 60's.

This is so cool. Never heard anything like it. Not really attracted to gospel/christian type music either but this is very unique! Thanks itunes for such a gem!
