She is just a master of meaningful songwriting. Her music has changed me, and this album does not disappoint in anyway. It's witty, it's deep, it's honest, and it's beautiful. I can't recommend it enough!

I waited two years for the release of this album, it did not live up to all that I expected in that time. The introspective, piano-centric tunes that we have come to know and love from this band are few and far between on this release. Musicians evolve over time, but this doesn’t feel much like an evolution. I miss the beautiful vocals set to piano and simply wish there were more than 11 songs on this album. That aside, Someday Soon is a beautiful track, Wish I didn’t is creative, True Love Will Find You is exactly what this album needs and Opus (though recorded over 2 yrs ago) is one of my favorites. Having just lost someone I love, it reminds me of her. Sometimes going back to basics is the best approach, this is the case with this album. It is an album worth owning if you are a fan, but it does not measure up to the last two releases.
  • Fantastic third album from a fantastic singer!

Elizabeth Ziman never ceases to amaze. Her first two albums have shown a gradual and impressive growth as an artist, and Like It Never Happened shows the culmination of all of the hard work and love that she puts into her music. Musically each song is different than the last, and Elizabeth doesn't shy away from trying something new (Sugar Covered Poison), something familiar (Happy Pop), something vulgar (I Wish I Didn't), and something beautiful (More Than Enough). You can tell her friendship with fellow singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles has influenced her music, especially in the hilarious and previously mentioned "Happy Pop" and "I Wish I Didn't". Is it just me or does anyone else find hearing female piano playing singers curse like sailors completely hilarious? As always, this album is five stars of beautiful music that deserves to be played on repeat. Highly recommend for any previous fans of EATC, and definitely recommended for any new listeners.

You can tell this entire album was carefully written, even lyric, every note, every key.. Elizabeth is one of the best out there and this album easily proves it. I haven't been able to stop listening to it for a week

Elizabeth Ziman is one of the greatest songwriters of her generation and this album continues to prove that with every track. Astonishing variety on display here yet it all holds together as a single work. Few bands can deliver songs of such beauty and complexity as these-- I really can't recommend this album highly enough, and that goes for the two albums that preceded it as well.

Elizabeth is a lyrical goddess. If you want to listen to some of the best writing there is, listen to this record, as well as the others. Her lyrics are bitterly true, and we love and hate to admit it. Love always, e. Your buddy bud bud. c:

The songwriting just gets better and better! A terrific follow up to the previous two records. Last Opus is just a classic, perfect ballad. This is an artist who is deserving of mass recognition--simply one of the very best in her genre.
