I been to Acadia National Park many times. Something about the sound of waves crashing against the rocks with the smell of the spruce forests lingering in the air, make Mount Desert Island my favorite place to visit on the U.S. eastern seaboard. When camping at Seawall on the south end of the island, it's incredible to listen to the wind through the evergreens with the gentle tolling of sea buoys in the distance. Unfortunately, none of these things are offered here. I guess what makes this idyllic place so sublime for me is not what appeals to everyone.
