This is an amazing album. Ernie's originals are just as great if not better than the covers he has on this album. His rich voice and clean guitar playing is very refreshing after hearing all of the crap on the radio in the past year or so. I would DEFINETELY reccoment buying this album. I've noticed that everyone has noticed the cover song god bless the child and another but just so everybody knows, Man On the Side is also a cover. It's actually a John Mayer song. He plays it on Any Given Thursday (Live).

Ernie has a great range and this album is just the begining! His new album out in Feb. 07 is even better. I had the great pleasure of having Ernie sing at my wedding reception this past May and everyone said he was the best they had ever heard. His voice is fantastic!! (He also has a great personality and kind attitude). Everyone should buy this album and enjoy the great sound of his voice, what talent!!!

Contemporary folk is how i'd describe Ernie's sound. I found this cat on Myspace, heard a few songs and that was it ....I bought the whole album. There are a few studio recordings on the album in which i wasn't all that excited about, however the ones that sound like he recorded in his bathroom are outstanding and make the entire album worth it. Artists like this i believe, that are true to the music and not about the glam ...at least not yet...are worth supporting.

I bought his CD off of iTunes after hearing his stuff on Myspace and have been a fan ever since. His voice is amazing and soothing. He's like the white boy version of Maxwell. I was fortunate enough to see him perform tonight and he's even better in person. It's definitely a must have.
