I always give new album a week, after I buy and listen many times. I been listening this one none stop and I love it.

Dark, sincere, and melancholic make these songs the best of Diary of Dreams since Nekrolog 43 back in 2007. While the range of moods isn’t as vast as in Nekrolog 43, nothing is left desired in Elegies in Darkness with songs like “a day in December,” “a dark embrace,” “House of Odds,” “an empty house,” and “Remedy Mine.” Guitars are quite prominent in this album and contribute greatly to the music, and were it not for the sort of “journey” you take when listening to Nekrolog 43 from start to finish, this album would be their best. As it is, stacking up against any other album’s songs this definitely wins. Fans won’t be disappointed with Adrian’s latest musical masterpiece.

FP is my fave DoD album, and while I've liked eveything they've done since then, nothing was as good IMO as that 2002 release. On EiD Adrain Hates proves he's still got it. It's moody, haunting, danceable, gritty, and aggressive. A great culmination for a 20-year veteran of the dark electro / darkwave scene.
