Berner never ceases to amaze me. Check out Ten Tiny Little Pieces for another tidbit of warmth, bittersweet vocals and unique songwriting. This is one of my favorites of all time.

I bought this album in a thrift store in Durango, Colorado as part of a random stack o' music. This was the one that won my heart. Catchy as hell, clever & thoughtful lyrics, and everyone in the band seems to be having fun. Recommended: A Town Called Happiness, Fantastic Ordinary, and the heartbreaker Mother.
  • Great debut, start to finish..

I heard Martha Berner all the time on XM Cafe Satellite Radio and finally download the album. Excellent music, great voice and storytelling. I highly recommend it. Key tracks: Good Company and A Town Called Happiness.

I just learned of this band September 30, 2006 when I saw them live at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin. I had never heard of her/the band and found them truly enjoyable. I purchased this CD at the show and was pleasantly surprised the next day at the content. I find it to be relaxing, soothing, and melancholy at times; but all really quite good. I especially like "Lady of Plenty" and "Mother." Martha, thank you for writing such wonderful songs.

this artist is amazing at writing songs that will touch your heart. she had a mother that died from cancer and she does it for her. Martha has always enjoyed singing and she will continue to do so until she loses her voice. she also plays a country/rock type of music.
