Totally slept on by the mass public. One of the few hip-hop producers who I would consider buying instrumentals from. I put him right up there with RJD2 and J Dilla. No joke. Along with Clams Casino as the hottest going right now. You can hear Apollo’s influence all over the hip-hop landscape right now. His drums are the best and his samples oh-so soulful. Buy it now!

Black Suits was already released on The Brown Tape remix of Ghostface Killah’s 12 Reasons To Die package (titled as “rise of the black suits”). A little disappointed I spent money to hear a track I already owned. Otherwise, a smoother and more subdued Apollo Brown album than in the past, very much a continuation of his Brown Tape work. IMO not as good as Clouds.
  • Dusty Hip Hop at it’s best!!!

This is Apollo’s best work to date, and that says a lot. I hope he make a series out of this, dusty and dope.

This is a top-20 producer "beats" album of all-time, competative with J Dilla's "Doughnuts." I love this album. If you enjoy beats as a backdrop to your daily grind, cop this.
