I waited on this album for years, since it came out until now (2017). I bought a song from their first album when it was released and even though it was good, i never gave it enough of a chance. For some reason I convinced myself I didn't like the vocals (I do now, although I still am not big into the thing where he lines them up with the drums in that really fast way, overall his vocals are amazing though and I never figured that out because I wrote it off). Turns out I love this album, really quickly too. I bought the rest of their first album too now. Great band.

The albums are good because there aren't any cruel jokes in between songs. 1 star to each artist who plays an instrument. No star for the fast talker with a mic.

This album just ruined metal for me. I can't possibly conceive of any band playing faster or more technical than these guys. This album is so overwhelming brutal and yet is puncuated by killer melodies. The musicianship is top notch, and it's super tight. The weird, echo-y pinch harmonics are something that I haven't heard from any other band; I can't get enough of them. And to top it all off, the vocals sound like a dog with an IQ of 140 barking at you. Buy this album and delete all of your other music.

  • Wonderful Tech Death Release!

Technical Death Metal is generally hit-or-miss for me, as the absolutely dizzying time signatures and time changes can make it almost a chore to listen to. This 5 piece has managed to maintain not only blistering speed and brutality, but also maintains melodic/ harmonic consciousness, and is able to use time changes tastefully, which keeps the listening experience fresh for the listener with an eclectic music pallet (myself). The lead guitarist displays virtuosity and discipline, while the rhythm is no slouch himself. The bass player helps hold down the rhythm end, but also takes it upon himself to even slip in some sweet and tasteful melodic lead lines on his 6-string fretless bass. The drummer plays fast clean, and uses his kit to its full potential. This is a must-have record and will probably be my favorite Tech Death release this year.

This band has a lot of talent and technical proficiency, but their song writing skills need to improve. There is a lot of technically impressive guitar and drum work going on, but it feels that it is just technical for the sake of being technical. There is not anything really memorable here. I would recommend Decrepit Birth or Allegaeon over this.

This is a must have for any technical death metal fan. It's one of the best albums of 2014 so far
