The technicallity and heavy-ness are so well combined it puts over bands to shame

Wow! These guys are incredible musicians. I have been reading reviews, and I see a few people that are bashing the band for the death metal vocals and the "over done guitars", and I just have to ask why they even bothered to write a review? This is technical death metal, and surprise surprise, it has insanely difficult and beautifully crafted guitar work! That's the whole purpose of the genre! And yes, it has the traditional death metal growling vocals. Know why? Because it is DEATH METAL! The juxtaposition of harsh and beautiful is what makes the genre appealing to so many people, Anyway, go back to listening to Air Supply because you obviously don't like this genre of music and are only writing a review to bring down the rating of an incredibly gifted band. For the people who actually like death metal, especially this band, I would highly recommend this album. Much like their other 2 albums and 1 EP, this is just incredible. Crushing, heavy, fast, melodic, and beautiful. There is some pretty amazing classical guitar work going on throughout the album as well, which makes it even more beautiful. There is nothing about this release that I can criticize. If you like their other albums, this is a no brainer. There is a slightly more black metal approach on this album as compared to the other albums, but it is very subtle and it still sounds like the Allegaeon that we all know and love.

These guys get better and better. Don't let people's opinions about the vocals steer you away from listening to this amazing band. You either like a vocalist or you don't. It's a matter or personal taste. The subject matter and lyrics are very interesting. It will have you googling tracks like "Dyson Sphere" to find out what they are. Every album they release keeps getting better. Hit the band up on social media, you won't regret it. The shenanigans between records makes the wait more tolerable.
  • Sound of vomiting

This is the sound of vomiting, not vocals. And, to make it worse, it's backed up by incompetent and overdone guitar work. Solid guitars are usually the sole redeeming quality of this type of "music." Maybe the lead singer is vomiting as a result of having to listen to such shoddy instrumentals.
  • So much shred!

Formshifter was pretty gnarly but they really stepped it up here in all aspects.
  • Love it

Love the band. Love the album. Not as good as FormShifter, but still a rock solid epic.
  • Meh.
