This is a great CD but when the song Cotton Fields won't play for me. I don't know what the problem is but when I'm playing the song in my itunes it is just skipped over...

Chris Thomas King is the most underrated talent in american music. He plays blues the way it was meant to be. His father Tabby Thomas is a blues icon in Baton Rouge Louisiana known as the " King of the Swamp Blues" Listen and enjoy.

Supprised more people haven't bought this album. Great blues guitar feel, especially on Hard Time Killing Floor. Awesome collection of songs for a good price. I really like this album and suggest to anyone who enjoys blues/bluegrass to buy it.

I had the priveledge of seeing him live at Jazzfest in New Orleans. This is Blues at its best. You would be hard pressed to find a better blues musician playing music today.

When i first heard this man it was on the soundtrack to O brother where art thou. I was really stunned and moved by the sceen in which chris tomas king plays hard time killing floor blues by the fire outside of the barn. This man had a certain soul to his acoustic blues playing that i had only heard old men playing on the street in alabama. Im just some white kid from phoenix but the blues is what i love and this man does a fine job of capturing the soul of blues many players have forgotten about. great album..

I'm really suprised that no one has written a review on this album yet. I came across it by accident, listened to the a few of the songs and bought it. If you like blues, this is a great album to own. I particularly like Hard Time Killing Floor and O Brother, Where Art Thou. Chris Thomas King's style is a little more refined than some of the older, more well known blues singers. In my opinion, he has a better voice for the blues than some of the more famous ones. An excellent album-5 Stars!!
