I hope everyone learns to appreciate this wonderful place. This album is very straightforward and shows very effectively the unique styles of the Tuva singers. You either love it, or you dont understand it. Even if you dont buy the cd, make sure you listen to the samples of throat singing and understand that these people have been passing on this tradition for thousands of years.
  • Amazing, other worldly

These tunes are haunting and evocative of remote, mythical places and minds. Tuvan throat singing produces multiple tones simultaneously, usually by droning and creating overtones in the nose or throat. This is some of the most unusual sounds you will ever hear, and they are created by nothing more than the human voice. Deeply moving.
