There are very few albums out there where I love every single one of its songs, but this is one of those albums. I could have only this album to listen to for the rest of my life and I'd be happy.

Janet Devlin is truly a gift to all listening to her music!! The great character in her voice is so alluring and special. This CD also has such terrific songs - not one is average depending on the others to carry it. They're all fantastic. Hope she's around a long long time!!!

I have 39 Janet tracks on my iPhone – including 28 originals, 11 covers and 5 live performances. A small handful of them are alternate or live versions, and most were only available to fans as downloads. Those who have followed her career know that Janet Devlin is an ΓΌber-talented independent singer-songwriter who is passionate, deep, funny as hell, a hard worker, and hugely devoted to her fans. She is also principled enough to have rejected her first record deal because of the usual shenanigans that labels try to pull on emerging artists (financial exploitation and limited artistic freedom). Going Indie was our gain. This album is a work of art. Janet's lyrics are peppered with stunningly poetic phrases, and her music is very well composed and arranged (she chooses her collaborators well). All of her recorded music is perfectly mastered with a wide dynamic range and plenty of headroom. The melodies are sometimes catchy, sometimes sad, and always worth repeated listenings. This album is mature, on a par with any recorded by the best indie-pop/folk veterans. Janet's music is like a good friend whose knock on the door is always welcome. Oh, and did I mention her voice? Beautifully Irish accent, delicate yet confident timbre, spot-on intonation, and so sincere and personal that I am occasionally moved to tears. Lovely.. buy it.. now...

Found Janet on XFactor a while back and fell in love with her "old soul" voice, but drifted away in the busyness of life. UNTIL this lovely lady popped up on my Spotify. I need her music always, and need to make CDs for my friends, and Janet is a perfect addition. Go on. Give her a shot.
