Big fan of most of their stuff, but this record strays off the tracks. A few decents songs and but so many others that will likely fade from consciousness. Would also like to see more passion in their live shows.

Great album, you can really hear an improved package (sound/recording/composition) while keeping the bands vibe. had to grab myself a vinyl copy too!

Stoked to hear these tracks from SB. As great as Astro Coast is, in 1000 Palms you can really hear the improvements as individual musicians/songwriters. Good job guys. Best to Thom, and his battle.

I'm a big fan of Surfer Blood; Astro Coast is my favorite album, and the band members seem like genuinely nice people. I offer this review in the spirit of constructive criticism: this album suffers from some of the same problems as Pythons--the songs are too similar to one another in style, tempo, vocals, lyrics, and theme. Compare Astro Coast where no song sounded alike.

these guys make pretty sweet music. Astro coast was an awesome album and I loved pythons. Can’t wait for this to be out, gonna be the album of the summer

I've liked this band ever since I've heard them. They have really matured and I can not wait to see them on tour and to buy the new album!

Caught them in Lincoln, NE and the show was outstanding - they were flawless live and I was lucky they played two of my favorite tunes "Anchorage" and "Drinking Problem". Hung out after the show - very engaging and humble guys - had a blast and a few cocktails. Doesn't get any better than that - they seemed happy and grateful for the opportunity to engage with their fans. Hope they swing through again - great energy and great musicians - a must see!

I've been listening to these guys for a few years and everything they put out is great. They have a knack for creating simple catchy songs with great hooks. Loving "I can't explain" already. I can hear the full version on Spotify. Can't wait for this new album to be released!!
