STS brings a style of rap close to the raspy, queazy style of Andre 3000. RJD2 is a producer that brings together R&B, Old School Hip-Hop, and Soul all in one culmination of a beautiful sound and rhythmic swagger comparable to Ryan Lewis from Macklemore. I also got vibes from Atmosphere's, "If Life Gives You Lemons.." album with the heavy bass lines and funk. Check out the tracks: "Doin' It Right", "Don't Get Played", "All I Wanted Was A Caddy", and "Monsters Under My Bed". This album is for lack of a better term, insane (in a good way)! Please support the album, you will get your money's worth.

RJD2 is an accomplished producer. STS is one of the most talented underground MCs out currently. He sounds like Andre 3000, both in delivery, and lyricism. Both are adept at storytelling, creating a narrative that captures its audience. It is a huge compliment to STS, as we all know of Andre 3000's legendary skills. On this album, RJD2 sonically compliments his accompanying artist better than he ever has. The collaboration is the best underground album, imho, since Blu & Exile released, Below The Heavens. This album is destined to become a classic, and to this fan it already is.

I'm happy to see that itunes is offering free music again, but the song offered by STS x RJD2 is garbage. I'm OK with Rap, but the rhyming skills here are greatly lacking and the music doesn't flow, it jumps around from a decent sounding melody to choppy unrhyming "singing(?)". Complete crap. If I could give it zero stars I would without hesitation.

To the dude who said the album is somewhat undermined by STS, are you serious?! STS is a beast on this record & RJ's production fits him perfectly. Love this album.

STS had to grow on me but after the third or so listen I'm down with him. Fancy Car is one of the sickest tracks I've heard in quite a few years and is really the song that got me to respect STS's style. He spits it pretty hot on that one. RJ of course still and will always have it. He is my favorite producer of all time. He is the only artist who's stuff I actually buy. I like how he ventures off with different MCs and it looks like he gives them freedom to do their thing. Although I'm not really into the 420 track, this album to me is "fun" and something id play at a party. It's deep at times too -- "Don't Get Played" is so good, haven't not played it a few times a day since the release. All in all I love it. Support RJ and STS and buy this, don't stream on Spotify only!

I bought the album for RJ. I only know STS from his guest spot on the Roots album "How I Got Over." A good contribution to one of my favorite Roots albums. Initially, I was very disappointed by the album as I felt STS's vocals just didn't compliment RJs music. I also felt that STS too often forced overly long freestyles to the beats rather than work with the beats (ex. Hold On). But, as the album progresses STS begins to really flow with RJ's music. Meanwhile, RJ continues to deliver great music. The problem with STS's contribution is that they are overly indulgent freestyles about silly subjects. Despite my criticisms, it's a respectable album that is periodically undermined by the MC. I will definitely buy the instrumental album when it is released.

STS is one of my all time favorite MC’s. This album will hopefully open peoples eyes to him and give him the recognition he deserves.
